COMPANY HISTORY

It all began in 2007 when two young ladies tried to come up with a way to help out all the amazing bands who tried to make their way in Vancouver. It was then that Sarah Mabberley and Britt Riddell had the notion to start a company that would be of assistance to these artists and provide them with opportunities to promote and showcase themselves. Thus, Less Than Three Promotions was born.

In just one year, the young team had enough drive and ambition to launch their own string of Vancouver shows and get involved with as many local and out-of-town organizations as they could. Through their tireless efforts, Less Than Three Promotions built up a significant network and soon found themselves consistently working hand-in-hand with a variety of artists, promoters, labels and festivals.

Less Than Three Promotions also dedicated themselves to providing out of town bands with assistance while visiting Vancouver and formed a number of nationwide connections with bands from Winnipeg and Toronto as well as international connections with artists from New York, California and Australia.

Late in 2008, Britt made the difficult decision to break away from Less Than Three and pursue an alternative direction in her career and left Sarah to carry on and keep the company name strong. After a brief hiatus to reformat and restructure, the company was relaunched under the title of Less Than Three Entertainment with Leanna Milburn, Alice Bazinet and Christine Fox coming on to join the team. As artists and active members of the business side of the music industry, these new members brought with them experience, knowledge and passion to the Less Than Three team.

Since the relaunch, the company has continued to grow and form partnerships with organizations in and around Vancouver as well as on a nationwide and international level. Less Than Three Entertainment has partnered up with companies such as The Peak 100.5 (Vancouver), Thorny Bleeder Records (Victoria) and Nevado Records (Toronto) to present showcases in Vancouver, and has also made an effort to continue to be resource for out of town bands touring through Vancouver. Less Than Three has been able to provide opportunities for bands from New Zealand, Toronto, Victoria, Saskatchewan and Alberta to perform while visiting the city.

The company continues to be very well-received by the artists and companies they partner up and persists in their efforts to expand their network throughout the industry. In an effort to bring Less Than Three Entertainment to the nationwide level, Sarah recently relocated to Toronto where she is working within the music industry to broaden the connections of the company and expand the reach of the Less Than Three name.

The company continues to meet with endless success because of the dedication and passion of all the members, not to mention the continuous support of everyone they have had the pleasure of teaming up with.
